Nursery Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is embedded in all aspects of Nursery life at Kew College Prep. We want to give our boys and girls the best start to their education by creating a secure and happy learning environment.

We provide a safe, challenging, stimulating, and caring community which is sensitive to the needs of each individual child. During their year with us in Nursery, each child is supported in becoming more independent and self-confident. They learn to be part of a group while retaining their individuality and developing their resilience.

In Nursery, we aim to make every day a special learning experience with an emphasis on having fun and trying out new things! We know that children learn best by being active explorers and we encourage both inside and outside play. With carefully planned and organised activities, we make full use of our lovely and bright classroom as well as our outdoor learning area and playground.

As our class sizes are small, the teachers know all the children very well ensuring that any issues that arise, whether small or big, are dealt with quickly and in a friendly manner. Parents have daily contact with their child’s teacher, and we value open communications.

We want our children to be happy, valued and prepared for their next academic steps.
