Kew’s Got Talent

In October, Year 5 hosted their annual show: Kew’s Got Talent, and this was an event like no other! For the first time, we had a record number of acts; 26 in total. It was fabulous that every child in the year group wanted to participate, and they were supported by our wonderful music leaders who did a sterling job of being confident compères. We had such a variety of acts this year, that it was difficult for the judges to choose a winner! Our judging panel commented afterwards that they were impressed at the standard of performance and could see how hard the children had worked in preparation for the show. We had a real mix of group acts, duets and solos. It was amazing to see such a variety of talent, resilience, and perseverance amongst the children; each one should be proud of their achievements at performing on the Kew’s Got Talent stage!
This show would not be possible without the support of so many behind the scenes helping our young, talented performers. Thank you to our Year 6 music leaders, judging panel, and the Year 5 teaching team. And, of course, thank you to the Year 5 superstars and their parents for the hours of dedication they did practising in preparation for this marvellous event!
