Trips & Visits
In the Junior House, children enjoy many exciting trips and residentials. Trips range from local science trips to Kew Gardens to calculating your way out of an escape room! Our residentials, alongside an academic focus, give children the experience of staying away from home, being more independent and forging new friendships. Below is a sample of past trips and visits.
Year 3
- PGL Residential – Outdoor activity break.

Year 4
- Bowles Residential – Outdoor learning and teambuilding experience on the borders of Kent and Sussex.
- Kew Gardens – Geography/Science trip to discuss the Rainforest habitat.
- Science Museum – Exploring the digestive system and science investigation.
- Kew Sparkle – Junior Vocal Group sings as part of the annual parade in Kew Village.

Year 5
- Hooke Court – Residential linked to the topic of Greeks covered in Humanities lessons.
- Wimbledon Watersports Centre – Teambuilding experience.
- Escape Room Problem Solving – Complements the Maths Curriculum.
- Tower Bridge – Linked to Science topic of ‘Forces’.
- Sandown – Links with Maths (probability, converting measures).

Year 6
- Bushcraft Residential – Boosting confidence, resilience and team-building skills on real outdoor adventures.
- Residential to a chateau in France – Complete French immersion.
- Escape Room Problem Solving – complements the Maths Curriculum.
- Junior Citizen at Holly Lodge – Citizenship and part of post 11+ programme.
- Globe Theatre – Linked to Shakespeare project and English.
